Black silk bound Nivernois (or Virginia) style fur felt cocked hat worn by officers and gentlemen from 1768 through the early 1790's. Black silk ribbon hand sewn binding on the brim. Gold or silver lace cockade loop and brass or silver button (specify if brass is preferred). Black silk officer style cockade. Hand sewn linen lining.
