French and Indian War Hats

We offer both MUSEUM Quality and also ECONOMY Line cocked hats, round hats and fantail hats plus so-called "Ranger Caps" from the period of the French and Indian War, also known as the Seven Years War.  Brims, bindings, cockades and other details vary.  As with other periods, we offer civilian and naval hats too.  Please inquire as to styles and prices.

See paintings and drawings by H. Charles McBarron, Peter Copeland and Don Troiani for period styles.

Revolutionary War Era Continental Army Cocked Hats

We offer Ramillies (rear or fantail is taller than the side or front leaves or brim) and Nivernois (moderate sized front and rear leaves and side leaves or brim cut close to the crown) style cocked hats for soldiers in service of the United States.

Museum Quality hats have hand sewn linen liners, cocking loops (black), cockade loops, pewter or brass cockade buttons and black linen, silk or satin cockades.
White, black or yellow wool hand-sewn binding is available at additional charge.
Black silk, silver and gold binding is available at additional charge.

Economy Line hats reflect period correct patterns and materials.  They are machine sewn and include leather rather than linen liners.
